Your body isn’t the same every day, and with shapewear a size too small instantly feels like a straitjacket, while a size too large does nothing. That’s why we chose flex-sizes for our own brand, SHAPESSE. In this blog you’ll read how they work and how to find your size in a few minutes.
What are flex-sizes?
Instead of six or seven separate sizes, the Fine Shaping shapewear line from SHAPESSE works with three sizes that each cover a wider range: S, M-L and XL-2XL. The fabric is made to stretch with your body and still stay in place. That means one size fits a broader range of figures, and you’re less likely to fall right between two sizes.
That’s handy if your weight fluctuates a bit during the year, or if your upper body and hips aren’t the same size. The top moves with you, even after a big lunch.
Which size suits you?
You choose your size based on your waist circumference. Measure at the narrowest point of your waist, usually just above your navel, and keep the measuring tape straight and not too tight.
- S: waist 65 to 72 cm
- M-L: waist 72 to 82 cm
- XL-2XL: waist 82 to 94 cm
If you’re right on the border, choose the larger size. You often wear a shapewear top all day, and you want it to sit firmly without digging in.
